Jan van Engelen has joined MAAS Aviation as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Van Engelen has more than 25 years of experience in the aviation industry and succeeds Tim Macdougald, who held the position of CEO at MAAS since 2017.
In his new role as CEO at MAAS, Van Engelen will be responsible for leading the team in pursuit of its strategic plan to drive sustainable growth and to build and foster new and existing long-term partnerships.
Prior to this appointment, he was CEO of Swissport. He also held various senior positions within global training service company, CAE.
“I am very excited to join MAAS Aviation and am looking forward to working with the team of passionate professionals who have built the strong brand and reputation that is MAAS today,” Van Engelen said.
As Chief Business Development Officer, Macdougald will continue to support the senior leadership team and all colleagues at MAAS’ global facilities.
Macdougald concluded, “These past 14 years have been transformative. We have witnessed significant growth; we have been through a global pandemic, we have partnered with Egeria Evergreen, and we continue to reach the highest standards in our industry. It has been quite a journey, and I look forward with enthusiasm and optimism as we embark on a new chapter in this great company’s development.”
