International Aero Engines AG (IAE) has appointed Kim Kinsley as its President, the first female president of the multinational consortium, comprised of shareholders including Pratt & Whitney, Pratt & Whitney Aero Engines GmbH, Japanese Aero Engines Corporation and MTU Aero Engines.
In addition to serving as Vice President of V2500 programmes at Pratt & Whitney, Kinsley, as President, will lead the integrated programme structure to support the continuous improvement of Pratt & Whitney’s V2500 programme.
“Kim is uniquely positioned to take IAE forward,” said Earl Exum, Chair of the IAE AG board of directors and Vice President of Mature Commercial Engines at Pratt & Whitney. “The V2500 engine has seen many great successes over IAE’s 40-year history, and we are confident Kim will build on that legacy as we look to the future.”
As the new President, Kinsley succeeds Exum, who has held the position since 2020. She joins Pratt & Whitney following her role as Vice President, Environmental & Airframe Control Systems – Power and Controls at Collins Aerospace, where she worked since 2014. In total, Kinsley has more than 25 years of experience in operations, business management, engineering and new product development across diverse industries.
“Kim has a wealth of experience from within and outside the aerospace industry and will ensure we continue to deliver the proven performance our customers have come to expect,” added Exum.
