flyvbird, a new on-demand regional mobility provider, has partnered with French travel planning technology start-up, Moove.

The company will use Moove’s Saas-B2B marketplace visualisation tool to make its offering – using AI to offer connections based on client requests – more tangible. With the tool, flyvbird will showcase the possibilities of on-demand air travel, and how its model can offer faster, more sustainable and direct air travel solutions.

“We are excited to partner with Moove. Utilising its intuitive visualisation tool will help us attract a brand-new segment of the market as travellers quickly see the benefits. It will play an important role in the early phase of our operation,” said Anton Lutz, CEO of Flyvbird.

Arthur Ingles, Co-Founder and CEO of Moove added: “We strive to lower the entry barriers to on-demand aviation, creating a market for exciting new airline ventures like Flyvbird.   It’s an attractive partnership as we create a bridge between private and commercial aviation.”

Flyvbird’s operating model will be “similar to an Uber pool” said Ingles, providing the “innovation to bring right-sized, right-priced flights, making more point-to-point travel viable.”

It will focus on serving unused airports, and start out with a fleet of Tecnam P2012 Travellers. Once established, the provider plans to grow its fleet using low-cost and reduced emissions aircraft, like the eCTOL Electra or newest generations of existing regional aircraft, like Embraer 145 and 170/190 series.
