Low-fare carrier easyJet has announced two new summer routes from the UK: from London Gatwick to Salerno’s Amalfi Coast airport and Newcastle to Amsterdam.

The London Gatwick to Salerno route will commence on 13 July and operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The former military-only airport is easyJet’s 157th destination, with flights also launching from Berlin, Basel, Milan and Geneva.

The Newcastle to Amsterdam route will take off from 5 September and operate all year round on Thursdays and Sundays.

Ali Gayward, easyJet Country Manager, commented: “We are delighted to announce the launch of two new routes from the UK today as we continue to strengthen our network and offer even more choice for our customers across the UK.”

easyJet recently firmed an order for an additional 152 A320 family aircraft as part of its fleet renewal and upgauging plans. Deliveries are expected between 2029 to 2034.
