Regional aircraft lessor TrueNoord has appointed Paul Murphy as its new Chief Financial Officer. In the role, Murphy will handle fiscal reporting and analysis, tax, treasury operations and corporate finance at TrueNoord.

Prior to joining, Murphy was Head of Finance at Goshawk Aviation, where he transformed the Finance and Managed Asset functions to support the business’ growth before its sale to SMBC Aviation Capital in 2022. His other experience includes senior finance positions at ORIX Aviation, training with KPMG as well as a Commerce Degree and a Masters in Accounting.

“Notwithstanding some macro headwinds, TrueNoord is exceptionally well placed to support the post-pandemic recovery of the regional aviation sector,” said Murphy. “Their balanced growth strategy is underpinned by a team of highly experienced sector specialists as well as supportive shareholders. I’m pleased to join TrueNoord at this key stage of the organisation’s evolution and look forward to seeking new and innovative ways to help scale up its platform and grow the business.”

“We are delighted to welcome Paul on board in this crucial role,” said Anne-Bart Tieleman, CEO, TrueNoord. “His longstanding experience managing financial operations in the aviation sector is an asset to our business.

“Paul is a highly respected member of the aviation community with a reputation for team motivation and commercial success. We will benefit from his knowledge and experience as we continue on our journey, supporting our airline customers as they strive to connect people, communities and businesses across the world,” added Tieleman.
