TAP Air Portugal has received its first of 15 Airbus A320neos, as the carrier continues to carry out its fleet renewal programme.
The new aircraft was officially handed over at a ceremony in Toulouse earlier this month, and was delivered to the airline today. Airbus says it will provide 15% savings in CO2 emissions, and a 50% reduction in noise for passengers.
The national flag carrier, based at Lisbon-Humberto Delgado Airport, currently has 13 A320neos and 22 A321neos on order from Airbus, as well as 16 A330-900s. It presently operates 22 A319-100s, 21 A320-200s and four A321-200s.
