SalamAir, Oman’s low-fare airline, has secured the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registration, a significant milestone in its development.

“IOSA Programme enables SalamAir to benchmark its operational safety standards by improving its operational management and control systems. Being IOSA registered is the most compelling evidence for putting safety factors first in the operation of SalamAir. This will be one of the key factors for its progress towards excellent service, in line with the trend of new and modern aviation worldwide,” said Captain Mohamed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir.

This IOSA registration is proof of SalamAir’s commitment to safety and reviews within its business, in line with the aviation industry’s safety and regulatory framework.

The carrier has expanded its operations in a short time scale, opening up new routes to the Czech Republic and Bursa in Turkey this year. It currently flies to over 32 destinations, including Muscat, Dubai, Jeddah, and Doha. It operates six A320neo, four A321neo, and one Airbus A321 freighter.
