SalamAir, Oman’s first low-fare carrier, opened its new office in Baghdad, Iraq, on 9 March – marking a significant milestone for the airline as it strengthens its presence in the country.

This new office marks the first by an Omani airline in Iraq. After a 20-year hiatus, flights between Oman and Iraq were re-established on 31 August 2023, improving cooperation between the two nations.

The establishment of this Baghdad office reflects SalamAir’s work to expand its network and offer travellers a greater range of travel options.

SalamAir flies from Baghdad four times a week to Muscat and then to Salalah, Colombo, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, and Dammam, among other locations.
