MYAirline has received an extension to its air operator certificate (AOC) from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM), allowing it to operate for another two years.

The offered extension signifies a thorough evaluation and vote of confidence in MYAirline’s continued operations by the CAAM, demonstrating the airline’s commitment to meet industry benchmarks.

Alongside the news of this CAAM extension, MYAirline recently saw its CEO and founder, Rayner Teo, step down due to health considerations on 8 October 2023.

The Malaysian airline launched operations in December 2022, and Mr Teo’s vision and leadership have been credited as ‘instrumental’ to the airline’s rapid success so far.

On the extension of the AOC, its Chief Operating Officer and interim CEO, Stuart Cross, said:

“We are pleased to have our Air Operator’s Certification extended for 24 months.

“This achievement underscores our continuous efforts to prioritise safety and compliance in every aspect of our operations. It reflects our dedication to providing our customers with the highest quality services while maintaining the utmost levels of safety and reliability,” added Cross.
