Universal Air has announced the launch of its regional air travel operations, opening a range of flights to destinations across Europe. A further schedule, with more routes, is planned throughout 2024.

Universal Air already provides charter and cargo services from its base at Malta International Airport. Now, using the island’s position in the Mediterranean, Universal Air is launching commercial passenger routes.

With its De Havilland Dash 8-400 fleet, passengers will benefit from an all-inclusive 15 kg luggage allowance.

The airline is also developing partnerships with various Global Distribution Services (GDS) and Online Travel Agents (OTAs) to enhance its market presence in the region.

Universal Air’s CEO, Simon Cook, said: “Our ambition is to lead a renaissance in air travel, becoming the preferred airline for modern travellers seeking value and convenience. We want to exceed our customers’ expectations, making flying more accessible, enjoyable and sustainable via our growing network of destinations.”
