Honeywell has extended its contract with Lufthansa Group, adding Lufthansa’s regional airline, Lufthansa Cityline, as a new user of its Honeywell Flight Efficiency software.

Under the extension, Lufthansa Cityline will benefit from access to its historical flight data, allowing a comprehensive analysis of flights compared with initial plans. This data will inform upcoming flights, allowing for any corrective measures to be taken based on past flights.

“Lufthansa Group has been a valued partner of Honeywell’s for 10 years, and this expansion strengthens our relationship by including more subsidiaries from the group,” said Karen Miller, General Manager of Honeywell Connected Aerospace. “We are pleased that we can continue to improve the sustainability of airlines and reduce carbon emissions through Honeywell Flight Efficiency.”

“Honeywell has a strong track record of identifying and implementing initiatives to reduce carbon emissions,” added Ralf Schulz, Senior Director of OPS Sustainability, Development and Analytics, Lufthansa Group, “and we are pleased to partner with them on more efficient flight operations.”
