HK Express and Iceland-based flight comparison site Dohop have formed a new partnership for international interline services after signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The Hong Kong-based low-fare airline and Dohop signed the agreement at last week’s Aviation Festival Asia in Singapore, with HK Express the first Asian carrier to partner with the comparison website. The partnership directly benefits HK Express guests, it said, as they will be able to travel beyond Asia with only one booking needed for their multi-leg journey.
Dohop will line up HK Express with other airlines around the world for the interline partnership. With the agreement of both airlines, it will set up a search and booking application into the HK Express website, providing flight options outside HK Express’ network from the partner airlines. The intuitive virtual platform will link passengers with other airline partners, making it easier to find affordable multi-leg trips internationally.
“Our partnership with Dohop is part of a long-term strategy to expand HK Express’ international network, as booking traffic moves toward web search,” said Jonathan Hutt, commercial director of HK Express (pictured left). “By working with Dohop, HK Express will be able to expand its services to partner airlines and airports around the globe. The new developed search engine by Dohop will draw more interline bookings on our website, providing benefits for both the airlines and our guests.”

HK Express currently flies to 26 destinations in Asia and has flown over 10 million guests since converting to an LCC several years ago. It was also one of the founder airlines of the low-fare U-FLY Alliance.
