Saudi Arabian low-fare carrier flynas has received five more A320neo aircraft over the past month, rounding out its all-Airbus fleet to a total of 56 aircraft.

The delivery is part of the carrier’s ongoing plans to upscale its fleet. There are also plans to launch its newest operations base in Madinah Airport with new domestic and international routes before the end of 2023, making it the only carrier with four operations bases across the kingdom.

In total, 11 aircraft have been delivered to flynas this year, with eight more scheduled in 2023, reflecting a growth of 100% for the carrier.

This expansion by the carrier aligns with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s strategy to boost civil aviation in the country, reaching 330 million passengers and 100 million tourists by 2030.

Bander Almohanna, CEO and Managing Director of flynas, said: “This new batch of aircraft reflects flynas’s commitment to achieving its strategy of growth and expansion by upscaling its fleet and multiplying the seating capacity of domestic and international flights in line with objectives of the programme of serving pilgrims to streamline access to the two holy mosques and the national strategy of civil aviation to enable national airlines to participate in linking the world with the kingdom.”

The A320neo aircraft currently makes up around 70% of its fleet. flynas connects more than 70 domestic and international destinations and aims to reach 165 domestic and international destinations in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
