Deutsche Aircraft has selected Akaer, a Brazilian aerospace and engineering company, to manufacture and design the D328eco’s forward fuselage. 

Akaer will be responsible for manufacturing the forward fuselage, including industrialisation, tooling, prototype and related studies.

Deutsche Aircraft chose Akaer because of the company’s commitment throughout the selection process. “Akaer is one of the key players in the Brazilian Aerospace industry, which is why we are excited to collaborate on this project for the front fuselage, which is a milestone in the D328eco programme,enthused Dave Jackson, CEO of Deutsche Aircraft.

With the fifth-largest airspace in the world, Brazil is currently focused on expanding regional aviation. Around US$600 million has been invested to connect the population via air travel. Brazil’s turboprop market share has grown by 344% over the last 10 years.

The first delivery of the D328eco forward fuselage is scheduled for the end of 2025 and will initially be produced in Brazil at Akaer’s facilities in São José dos Campos.
