Deutsche Aircraft has announced a major investment in its D328eco programme.

OHB and AFK’s joint company DAH Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH has signed an agreement to secure an important minority equity investment in Deutsche Aircraft Holdings (DAH). The equity stake in DAH is still subject to approval from the German government, with the transaction anticipated to close in Q1 of 2023.

AFK Enterprise AG is the industrial arm of the AFK Kumar Family Office, which pursues a variety of investment opportunities around the globe. OHB SE is a German space and technology group and one of the leading independent forces in the European space industry.

The agreement and investment will propel the development of green aviation technologies in the D328eco programme further, with the understanding that the investors can increase additional ownership up to a majority investment at any time.

On this investment news, Dave Jackson, CEO of Deutsche Aircraft, said that it “reaffirms both the strong market need for a proven regional aircraft and underpins the belief in the green aviation sector.”

“For us, this investment is another important step in diversifying our portfolio into mobility with environmentally friendly drives,” added Dr Berthold Peikert, CEO of AFK Enterprise AG.
