Breeze Airways and Rhode Island Governor, Dan McKee, have announced that the Rhode Island T.F Green International Airport will become a base of operations for the airline in 2023.

The airline looks to grow its network to at least 20 routes, operating up to 20 weekly departures by the end of 2023, and 44 weekly departures by 2027. Eight A220s will be based there whilst the carrier grows over this five year period.

“Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport is thrilled to become a base of operations for Breeze Airways,” said Iftikhar Ahmad, President and CEO of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation. “The benefits of this wonderful news go well beyond the airport, and will help create new jobs and new revenues throughout Rhode Island to help grow our local economy for years to come.”

Breeze Airways began serving the state in July 2021, and currently serves five different destinations nonstop. This agreement will result in around 250 full-time jobs, including pilots and flight attendants, to sustain at least 20 nonstop routes in future.
