Mirus Aircraft Seating has announced that Bolivia’s flag carrier, Boliviana de Aviación, has selected its Hawk economy seat for its latest Boeing 737-800 deliveries.

The seats are to be installed in March and April this year. The Hawk economy seat is a cost-effective, lightweight seat designed to enhance passenger comfort and improve the appearance of the cabin.

The weight of the seat also means that it lowers the cost of ownership to the airline and reduces fuel burn.

Marcus Williams, Mirus’ Global Sales and Marketing Director, said: “Latin America is an important and ever-growing market for us, and we are pleased that BoA chose our Hawk seat for its latest aircraft retrofits. It’s always particularly satisfying when a national flag carrier trusts you to deliver a project – we can’t wait to see the Hawk installed on the aircraft and hear their feedback.”

Ronald Casso Casso, BoA’s General Manager, added that the flag carrier settled on the Mirus Hawk after considering other seating options.

“We were impressed both with the Hawk as a suitable product and the superior level of customer support offered by Mirus. Once retrofitted, the Hawk will significantly enhance the appearance of our cabins and offer our passengers a class-leading experience in terms of comfort and living space,” he said.
