Azerbaijan Airlines and Buta Airways are set to merge under a single brand in October 2023. Together, the airlines will go by the same brand, AZAL.
Following the merger, low-fare airline Buta Airways will continue to operate its flights under the AZAL brand, maintaining the current affordable prices with a higher level of services.
Additionally, passengers will have the choice of a luggage-free ‘Buta Budget’ fare. Hand baggage will be included in all fares, and there will be an increase in baggage allowance for all ticket fares except the Buta Budget.
As well as changes to baggage allowances, passengers can expect an updated menu on AZAL flights, as well as a series of discount campaigns throughout the year in celebration of the merger.
