US-Bangla Airlines has signed a Global Maintenance Agreement (GMA) with ATR to optimise maintenance costs and the reliability of its eight ATR 72-600 aircraft.

The agreement covers a five-year pay-by-the-hour contract for the repair, overhaul and pooling service of Line Replaceable Units, along with the availability and maintenance of propellers and leading edges.

“Reliability, on-time performance, customer experience and safety are of paramount importance to US-Bangla,” said Mohammed Abdullah Al Mamun, Managing Director, US-Bangla Airlines. “As US-Bangla celebrates its 9th anniversary, there is no better time to announce that we are strengthening our cooperation with ATR through this Global Maintenance Agreement. We are hopeful that this partnership will further optimise the reliability of our ATR fleet while reducing operating costs – creating a win-win partnership.”

“We constantly strive to find innovative and cost-effective solutions to support our customers, and the ATR GMA is our way to partner with US-Bangla Airlines in their daily operations,” added Stefano Marazzani, Senior Vice President of Customer Support and Services, ATR. “While we share our expertise and look for efficiencies in components maintenance and reliability improvement processes, they can focus on their core business: offering the greatest travel experience to the Bangladeshi communities in the most responsible and sustainable way.”
