Aircraft Maintenance Services Australia (AMSA) has rebranded to Heston MRO in a step towards the company’s aim of creating a regional alternative to global MRO brands.
The company has been rebranded following the recent acquisition of AMSA from previous airline owners. The company has presence in major Australian airports: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, etc.
The company say the rebranding to Heston MRO is the “first step on the strategic direction to create a strong independent Total Care MRO player in Australasia, a regional alternative to global MRO brands.”
“We are excited to start this journey in Australia, developing a customer driven third party MRO organisation in the region,” said Jonas Butautis, partner of Heston Aviation, owner of Heston MRO. “Our aim is to position Heston MRO as a true Total Care partner for small to mid-size airlines in the region.
“For larger operators we will be a flexible and dynamic third-party solution for selected MRO products, which will drive efficiencies in their internal technical organisations. We also see OEMs and leasing companies as customer pool, who need a local partner on the ground in Australia,” Butautis added.
Adrian Beirne, CEO of Heston MRO, said: “With our current Line Maintenance presence in all major airports in Australia, we are the single largest independent MRO player in the country. We aim to use this as a base for further development of our MRO offerings and growing together with local and international customers.”
“This year we introduce localised, customer-focused Components and Engines Management solutions, eventually growing into wider engineering and possibly light heavy maintenance within the next 24 months.”
With warehouses in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, Heston MRO is launching its local Components trading, exchange, repair management and leasing business in H1 2019. This will be followed by Engine Management and on-wing services offering for airlines, leasing companies and OEMs in the Australasian region. The company explained that further development up to light hangar maintenance is considered as the next growth stage.
Aircraft Maintenance Services Australia was acquired by Heston Services Limited in December 2018.
