AMETEK MRO has secured a three-year contract with low-fare carrier easyJet to provide refurbishment services for its first aid kits and supplementary medical kits on its A320 family aircraft.

AMETEK’s specialist division, Aeromedic, will guide on the kits’ contents, bringing knowledge of CAA/EASA regulatory approvals to this process.

The work will be carried out at AMETEK MRO’s Luton facility, where bespoke processing software will be used to track the expiry dates and batch numbers of individual kit components.

This software enables Aeromedic to recall any product at any time across 65,000 parts – roughly 1,100 first aid kits and 2,000 supplementary medical kits.

Steven Rowley, Engineering Director of AMETEK MRO AEM, commented, “Aeromedic’s success in securing the easyJet contract is a testament to our commitment to outstanding product delivery and service. This achievement reinforces Aeromedic’s position as industry leaders in this highly regulated product category. We are proud to support easyJet’s continued focus on passenger safety aboard their aircraft.”
