SKY express adds Milan, Sofia, and Munich as new destinations

SKY express is expanding its flight network to Munich, Milan, and Sofia from the start of November.

Direct flights to Sofia and Munich International Airport from Athens start from 2nd November, with Milan flights beginning on the 3rd.

At the same time, responding to the needs of increased mobility between Athens and Rome, SKY express is also strengthening its routes with daily itineraries.

As stated by Gerasimos Skaltsas, SKY express Commercial Director: “Today we announce the expansion of our flight project to three strategic destinations with strong ties to Greece in terms of hospitality and entrepreneurship. Emirates and SKY express are joining forces to offer passengers more flight options from New York and Dubai to the largest domestic network in Greece.

Passengers, flying with Emirates from Dubai and New York to Athens International Airport, will be able to continue their journey to one of the 34 Greek destinations SKY express serves. The connection is undertaken by the country’s youngest and greenest fleet and one of the most environmentally friendly in Europe, offering a special in-flight experience.

The new strategic interconnection with the leading air carrier in the Middle East is a practical recognition of the dynamics of SKY express at an international level. In addition, it gives a further boost to the country’s tourism development by creating the right conditions for visitors to arrive even from areas such as Australia, Southeast Asia and India via Dubai Airport.

SKY express adds ninth Airbus A320 to its fleet

True to its commitment to a sustainable air transport model, SKY express is integrating another state-of-the-art and brand-new Airbus A320neo into its fleet.

The newly arrived aircraft, with low energy consumption and the most modern technical specifications, strengthens the new era airline when it comes to seats availability and the best services for passengers. SKY express: Airbus A320neo is added to the carrier’s newest and greenest fleet

With the new addition, SKY express sets another milestone in its ongoing investment plan and seals its vote of confidence in the prospects of Greek tourism.

The significant investment traffic, just one year after the complete modernisation of its fleet with six Airbus A320neo, one Airbus A320ceo and six ATR 72-600, concerns the acquisition of an additional aircraft of the Airbus A320neo family.

This new addition is part of SKY express’ systematic commitment to a fully sustainable model of air transport with new generation state-of-the-art aircrafts that save fuel and reduce environmental impacts.

The newly acquired aircraft strengthens the country’s newest and greenest fleet in terms of available seats, effective service of increased traffic and overall support of the domestic tourism product. At the same time, it demonstrates SKY express’ readiness for a demanding summer program that includes 12 countries, 21 foreign cities and the largest domestic network.

SKY express partners with leading Delta Air Lines

The partnership is another milestone for SKY express, offering even greater opportunities for North American travellers and connection to the largest network of destinations covered by SKY express throughout Greece.

Effective from mid-May, Delta customers flying from North America will be able to fly on one of Delta’s daily nonstop services to Athens then connect to one of the 34 unique destinations across Greece operated by SKY express.

Through the strategic agreements with global carriers such as Air France, KLM, Qatar Airways, American Airlines, Cyprus Airways, Condor, El Al, Middle East Airlines as well as Transavia, Emirates, SKY express actively aims to further increase demand and upgrade the quality of the Greek tourist product.
