In May 2019, Guernsey-based airline Aurigny will offer a new twice-daily service to Jersey and Southampton.
The return of Aurigny to Jersey and the additional service to Southampton is intended to offer customers greater choice, reliability and an additional inter-island business connection.
These new routes are being established as part of an expansion of Aurigny’s route portfolio and will be operated using the existing leased ATR 72-500 aircraft. There will not be any impact on their other services.
Mark Darby, Aurigny’s chief executive officer, said: “We are delighted to be returning to Jersey and offering a further service from Guernsey to Southampton. We will be offering weekday morning and evening flights on both new routes, giving customers the choice of a day return to either destination.”
These new routes create a slot in the middle of the day, and the airline is examining options of adding an additional destination in the future.
