Aircraft seating solutions company Geven is proud to announce the latest chapter in its long-standing and successful collaboration with Wizz Air. The seatmaker will be equipping the airline’s brand-new Airbus A321neo fleet with advanced passenger seats.

A Geven spokesperson said: “This milestone reinforces a long-standing collaboration and highlights both companies’ commitment to superior comfort, safety, and design excellence in the aviation industry.

“This agreement encompasses nearly 200 shipsets, translating into almost 45,000 passenger seats. This substantial investment will ensure a consistent, lightweight, and upgraded experience across Wizz Air’s growing fleet.”

For this fleet upgrade, Wizz Air has chosen the Eva seat: the lightest model on the market, specifically designed for high-density narrowbody aircraft.

Developed with a passenger-centric philosophy, Eva blends optimised living space with superior comfort, ensuring that passengers enjoy an exceptional and comfortable travel experience even in the most demanding and high-density cabin configurations.

The seat’s features include:

  • Optimised ergonomics and enhanced living space. Eva features a patented enhanced full composite backrest that increases knee clearance. The seat also features Geven’s exclusive lightweight structural cushion, ingeniously eliminating the need for a traditional seat pan.
  • Best-in-class weight performance, contributing to reduced fuel consumption and emissions. Eva’s simple and robust design ensures low cost of ownership and ease of maintenance. Furthermore, sustainability acts as an additional core product driver to reduce environmental impact and the overall carbon footprint.
  • Distinctive trim and finish. To reflect Wizz Air’s vibrant brand identity, the bespoke Italian design highlights the airline’s signature colours.

Julia Brix, Supply Chain Officer at Wizz Air, said: “The selection of Eva seats supports our strategy of combining efficiency with an enhanced passenger experience. Lightweight design and emission reduction are key priorities for Wizz Air, and this solution meets both without compromise. By choosing Eva for our A321neo fleet, we confirm our focus on innovative cabin solutions that enhance efficiency while maintaining high passenger comfort standards. This collaboration sets a new benchmark for high-density cabin interiors, demonstrating how design, performance, and sustainability can successfully converge.”
