Wizz Air has announced a new route from London Luton Airport to Brasov in central Romania.

Wizz Air will launch flights on 2 August three times a week from London Luton Airport to a new destination in its network, Brasov.

Known as one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe, Brasov is often referred to as the ‘gateway to Transylvania’. Home to Bran Castle, also known as Dracula Castle, the city is brimming with history, lively cafes, and charming streets. From hiking up to the panoramic views of Mount Tampa to dining along the Strada Republicii, there is something for every traveller in Brasov.

Tickets are now available to buy on the airline’s website. Wizz Air operates an all-Airbus fleet, comprised of A320 and A321 aircraft. The ultimate goal is to reach a total of 500 aircraft, with deliveries due to take place between 2025 and 2027.

Marion Geoffroy, Managing Director, Wizz Air UK, said: “We are pleased to announce the addition of another exciting route from London Luton Airport, as we offer our customers even more opportunities to discover unique destinations across Europe. Brasov is the perfect destination for customers looking to discover a new city that is filled with incredible medieval architecture and picturesque views. We look forward to welcoming passengers onboard our young, efficient, and sustainable aircraft as they head off for their next holiday abroad.”
