De Havilland Canada and Norwegian regional airline Widerøe have signed a purchase agreement for two OEM-certified refurbished Dash 8-400 aircraft.

As a long-time customer of De Havilland, Widerøe is the largest regional airline in Scandinavia, serving more than 40 domestic and international destinations.

Widerøe is one of our long-term customers, and we are thrilled to announce their purchase of two DHC OEM Certified Refurbished Aircraft,” said Ryan DeBrusk, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for De Havilland Canada.

De Havilland’s OEM Certified programme was announced at the Farnborough International Airshow, and this purchase of two Dash 8-400s is a significant first step to supporting the DHC Dash 8 programme to “keep the fleet flying”.

This order follows ANA’s order of seven refurbished Dash 8-400s. DHC’s team across Canada is refurbishing and delivering Dash 8 aircraft to meet a “continuing and growing customer demand,” the OEM added. So far, more than 5,000 aircraft have been delivered worldwide.
