Vietjet is set to launch its second service to Australia, expanding its footprint into the country with a new direct route from Ho Chi Minh City (HCM) to Sydney.

This new route marks a milestone in the airline’s international flight network expansion in the Asia-Pacific region. This announcement follows the earlier announcement made in January from Vietjet of the first direct flight between Ho Chi Minh City and Melbourne.

Both of these routes will commence operation in April. The flight from HCM will operate from 12 April with six flights per week.

Vietjet Vice President Nguyen Thanh Son said that the airline has plans to further expand its network to Brisbane, Darwin and Adelaide. “We will bring Australia, Vietnam and the Asia-Pacific region closer than ever before. Our direct flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Melbourne and Sydney make it easier and more convenient for business, education, and tourism,” he added.
