Uzbekistan Airways and Lufthansa Technik have signed a long‑term agreement covering comprehensive component support services for the carrier’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A320ceo/neo fleets through 2035.

Under the new contract, Lufthansa Technik will provide component pool support and supply services, ensuring rapid access to spare parts to help maintain high levels of aircraft availability and operational reliability across Uzbekistan Airways’ network. The agreement extends a partnership that has spanned more than three decades and supports the airline’s fleet expansion and modernisation plans.

Shukhrat Khudaykulov, chairman of the board of Uzbekistan Airways, said: “Over the past three decades, Lufthansa Technik has proven to be a reliable and trusted partner for Uzbekistan Airways. As demand for air travel continues to grow and Uzbekistan further expands its role as an aviation hub in Central Asia, this agreement provides important support for our fleet modernization and expansion plans.”

The agreement comes as Uzbekistan Airways continues investing in fleet renewal while supporting the development of Uzbekistan as a growing aviation hub in Central Asia.

Dr. Christian Leifeld, chief financial officer of Lufthansa Technik, said: “This agreement reflects the exceptional partnership we have built with Uzbekistan Airways over more than 30 years. Extending our collaboration until 2035 is a strong testament to the mutual trust and fruitful cooperation between our companies.”

The contract reinforces Lufthansa Technik’s role as a long‑term maintenance and support partner for Uzbekistan Airways’ Boeing 787 and Airbus A320 fleets while providing component support for the airline’s next phase of growth.
