


Dornier’s new Do228 NXT demonstrator aircraft will be unveiled to the global public for the first time in the static display area at ILA Berlin 2026 from 10 to 14 June.
The aircraft is ready for the global stage following its recent successful first flight and passing all the necessary tests. It will be located at H4/100.
The aircraft, a next-generation version of the legendary Dornier 228 series, features a modernised cabin, numerous cockpit upgrades, a resilient supply chain, next-level avionics systems, enhanced communication options and a wide range of new special mission equipment and sensor options. The Do228 NXT has virtually endless possibilities for deployment from maritime patrolling and surveillance to disaster response and environmental monitoring, all the way to passenger and cargo transport.
Over the next few years, the Do228 NXT demonstrator will be utilised by the OEM, General Atomics AeroTec Systems, for further flight testing and optimisation while primarily serving as a presentation and demonstration aircraft for customers and prospective buyers around the world. It will also be showcased at numerous trade shows and events all around the world.
The Do228 NXT will make its international debut at Farnborough International Airshow in the UK from 20 to 24 July.
