Tassili Travail Aérien (TTA), an Algerian aerial work company and subsidiary of Sonatrach, has signed a purchase agreement with Textron Aviation for two Cessna SkyCourier aircraft. This is the first aero-medical equipped SkyCourier, and the first SkyCourier order in Africa.

TTA offers a range of special mission services, including aero-medical evacuation and passenger transportation. With delivery expected for 2026, the two new aircraft will be based in Algiers and Hassi Messaoud.

“The Cessna SkyCourier is a versatile aircraft capable of supporting challenging missions, high payloads and short, rough runways worldwide,” said Bob Gibbs, Vice President, Special Mission Sales for Textron Aviation. “TTA’s mission package includes the advanced Lifeport PLUS Powered Medevac System, allowing TTA to quickly switch from passenger or cargo to medevac missions.”

Textron Aviation’s SkyCourier aircraft are powered by Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-65SC turboprop engines, with a 19-passenger variant that includes a large baggage compartment, or in a freighter variant with a flat-floor cabin that can fit up to three LD3 shipping containers with 6,000 pounds of payload capability.
