Skytrans, an Australian regional airline, has announced the arrival of its first A319, marking a step in its fleet expansion and ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance) enhancement ambitions.
The A319 arrived in Brisbane on 15 December and is the first of several Airbus aircraft that are planned to join the fleet this year.
“The arrival of our first Airbus A319 marks an exciting new chapter for Skytrans. This expansion strengthens our position as a trusted provider of ACMI services and shows that we’re ready to meet a wide variety of clients’ needs. We’re focused on growth, innovation, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and reliability, and we look forward to further augmentation of our fleet,” said Skytrans CEO Alan Milne.
Skytrans joined Avia Solutions Group, an ACMI provider, at the beginning of 2024 to expand into ACMI operations, whose services include MRO, pilot and crew training, and ground handling.
