Canadian regional operator, Porter Airlines, has launched a major expansion of its network from John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (YHM) this week, inaugurating its first international, non-stop services from the city with four new destinations in Florida and Mexico
The international launch starts with flights to Orlando (MCO) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL) this weekend. Both routes will initially operate three round trips per week.
Later this month, the expansion continues with inaugural flights to Mexico. A direct service to Cancun (CUN) begins on December 17, offering up to four weekly round trips, and Puerto Vallarta (PVR) launches on December 18 with two weekly roundtrips.
All new routes will be flown on Porter’s 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft with passengers on every flight benefitting from Porter’s signature “elevated economy” experience.
“The introduction of these four new routes at YHM deepens our commitment to the Greater Hamilton region,” said Andrew Pierce, vice president, network planning and reporting at Porter Airlines. “In less than six months, we’re giving travellers even more options to fly with Porter from their home airport while enjoying an elevated economy onboard experience that stands out across North America.”

Porter Airlines has ordered another 25 E195-E2 jets this year, bringing its total firm order up to 75.
