Low-fare airline PLAY will resume its route to Iceland from Liverpool John Lennon Airport from 11 October 2024.

The twice-weekly route, flying from Liverpool to Keflavik, will allow travellers to connect to North America. PLAY currently operates to four US destinations: New York Stewart International Airport, Boston Logan International Airport, Baltimore International Airport, and Washington Dulles International Airport.

Einar Örn Ólafsson, CEO of PLAY, said: “Our seasonal Liverpool route has quickly become one of our most popular, highlighting the growing interest in Iceland as a top destination. This popularity not only demonstrates the demand for travel between the UK and Iceland but additionally provides a seamless connection for travellers looking to continue their journey onward to North America, making Iceland a key gateway between Europe and the other side of the Atlantic.”
