Turkish low-fare carrier Pegasus Airlines has selected seat manufacturer Acro to line-fit 50 of its A321neo aircraft with its Series 9 Fixed Back seats.

Deliveries of the aircraft to the carrier will begin in Q1 2025 and be completed by the end of 2029. A further 50 aircraft are potentially slated to follow after the initial order.

Neil Cairns, CEO of Acro, said, “We are delighted to have been chosen as the preferred partner of the dynamic and forward-thinking Pegasus Airlines, and we’re looking forward to creating, with the Pegasus team, a distinctively bespoke version of our versatile Series 9.”

The Series 9 is Acro’s latest entry into its extensive economy class product line, building on the Series 6 model. The Series 9 has an optimised 21.5 degrees of passenger living space, whilst its alloy structure gives a pax weight of 7.5 kg. These line-fit seats will feature custom trim and finish in red and yellows of the Pegasus Airlines’ livery.

“Generous pax width has been achieved without compromise to either armrest or aisle width so that passengers enjoy outstanding stretch-out legroom even at a reduced pitch.  We’re confident that it will be a huge hit for Pegasus Airlines and their passengers when it takes to the air,” he added.

Pegasus Airlines currently has 68 A321neo aircraft on order as part of its fleet modernisation and growth strategy, and it recently ordered 36 more at Paris Air Show 2023. In January 2024, it received its first A321neo from Airbus’s new Final Assembly Line in Toulouse.
