Japanese regional airline, Oriental Air Bridge (ORC), has taken delivery of an ATR 42-600.

Configured with a 48-seat cabin and the latest avionics, the aircraft is also covered by an ATR Global Maintenance Agreement (GMA). This ATR was ordered and signed for at the Farnborough Airshow back in July 2022.

The Japanese carrier will start operating the ATR aircraft in July 2023, and, according to Mr Tanaka, Senior Managing Director from ORC, will “represents a step forward for us to better serve our higher purpose of providing airlinks to revitalise the remote island around Nagasaki Prefecture”.

“Air transport is crucial for Japan, where air routes are essential for domestic travel and transportation,” said ATR Chief Executive Officer Nathalie Tarnaud Laude. “We are pleased to count ORC as one of our new customers and contribute to support their mission.”
