Low-fare carrier Norse Atlantic Airways is launching a new direct route from Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) to Bangkok (BKK) for the winter 2025 season.
Starting on 29 October 2025, the airline will operate twice weekly flights on Wednesdays and Sundays using its Boeing 787s with one-way fares starting at SEK 2,550 (GB£ 185), including taxes.
The plan marks Norse’s first entry into the Swedish market and is part of its ongoing strategy to disrupt the long-haul sector.
“With our entry in Sweden and the launch of our Stockholm-Bangkok route, Norse Atlantic Airways is redefining long-haul travel, challenging a market long dominated by legacy carriers,” said Bjørn Tore Larsen, CEO and founder of Norse Atlantic Airways. “This new route ensures travellers have a premium yet budget-friendly choice on one of the most in-demand long-haul routes. Our modern Boeing 787 Dreamliners, combined with exceptional service from our crew, deliver affordable and comfortable flights to cost-conscious travellers, making global connections more accessible, seamless, and enjoyable for everyone.”
Jonas Abrahamsson, President and CEO of Swedavia, the group that owns, operates and develops 10 airports throughout Sweden, including Arlanda, said: “Norse will play an important role in connecting Sweden to Thailand. Swedavia’s main goal is to increase the connectivity, and this addition to the airport’s overall offer further facilitates for people to meet, whether it is for business, leisure or to visit family and friends.”
Economy light bookings now include a 10kg carry-on bag in addition to the personal under-seat item. All seats have in-flight entertainment, with the Premium cabin offering a 43” seat pitch and 12” recline.
