Low-fare airline Nok Air has finally gone live with Rusada’s maintenance management software, ENVISION.

The software was signed for prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, yet implementation of this product was slowed down as a result. However, with global travel now being reinitiated, the implementation of the software was conducted in a module-by-module approach and was done to limit the amount of disruption to the airline.

Five of ENVISION’s modules have now gone live, including Fleet Management, Base and Line MRO, and Human Resources.

Nok Air has a fleet of 17 aircraft, made up of Boeing 737s and De Havilland Canada Q400s. From its base in Bangkok, it operates numerous flights across Thailand, Japan, China and India.

On the successful installation of software, Wutthiphum Jurangkool, CEO at Nok Air, said that, because of its route network expansion, it wanted to make sure its operational efficiency remained as high as possible.

“ENVISION has enabled us to consolidate our previous solutions and 3rd party services into a single, end-to-end platform, greatly improving our oversight and productivity,” he added.

Julian Stourton, CEO at Rusada, noted: “ENVISION will provide their [Nok Air’s] decision-makers with all the tools and insights needed to accomplish this, and further increase the efficiency of their airline.”
