From 8 November, Latvian national airline airBaltic will operate a new direct regional route connecting Riga with Rzeszów, Poland.

The carrier said this new service will significantly enhance travel options for passengers travelling from Ukraine.

Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport is the closest Polish airport to the Ukrainian border, making it a key transit point for Ukrainians travelling to other parts of Europe. The new route will allow them to access onward destinations across the airline’s European network, such as Vilnius, Tallinn, Oslo, Helsinki, Copenhagen, and Stockholm.

“We are pleased to offer this new convenient route between Riga and Rzeszów,” said Martin Gauss, President and CEO of airBaltic. “This new destination will further strengthen airBaltic’s position in the region and offer improved connectivity for travellers from both Poland and Ukraine.”

One-way flights from Riga to Rzeszów will start from €34 for Economy Class.
