Nordic Aviation Capital has delivered two Embraer E190s to Russian carrier Ikar Airlines LLC, operating as Pegas Fly, on lease.

The aircraft, serial numbers 19000264 and 19000481, were delivered by the lessor to the airline this week. The carrier is headquartered in Krasnoyarsk, Russia and is an aviation subsidiary of Russia’s Pegas Touristik travel operator, serving domestic and international flights. It operates out of both Yemelyanovo International Airport in Krasnoyarsk and Zhukovsky International Airport in Moscow to destinations in Russia, Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and South America.

Pegas Fly is now Russia’s third E-Jet operator and the first to operate E190s, following on from S7 Airlines which operates 17 E175s and the recently defunct Saratov Airlines, which may or may not resume operations under a different name in the near future.

NAC also delivered two E190s to Ikar, a new customer, in April and May respectively (MSN 19000461 and MSN 19000263).

“2018 is the year of expansion and development of our fleet. Pegas Fly has successfully managed all challenges facing the airlines in Russia for the past few years and is aiming for continued success. Building strong commercial relations with leading aircraft lessors such as NAC is certainly a part of this path”, said vice-chairman of Ikar at the time of the first award, Oguz Senol Yuce.

Last week NAC also delivered an E195 (MSN 19000239) to Polish carrier LOT on lease.
