MTU Aero Engines AG has reported reaching a record revenue of EUR 8.7 billion in fiscal year 2025. The Munich-based company saw adjusted operating profit rise 29% to EUR 1.4 billion, while adjusted net income increased 27% to EUR 968 million.

The company met its 2025 guidance after raising targets several times throughout the year. For 2026, MTU is forecasting revenue of EUR 9.2 billion to EUR 9.7 billion and an adjusted earnings before interest and tax of EUR 1.35 billion to EUR 1.45 billion.

CEO Dr Johannes Bussmann said: “We made the most of market opportunities in 2025 and stayed on our successful course despite ongoing challenges. The long-term growth prospects for our industry are positive, and we believe we are extremely well-positioned to reap the benefits. In 2026, we will channel our passion for engines into achieving further growth.”

CFO Katja Garcia Vila added: “These figures show that we not only achieved new all-time highs but also delivered on what we promised. We raised our guidance several times during the year and fully met it across the board. We translated strong demand into strong performance and strong results, which means we are moving forward from a position of strength.”

The company has proposed a dividend of EUR 3.60 per share for 2025. Looking ahead to 2030, MTU has established a revenue target of between EUR 13 billion and EUR 14 billion.
