Mexicana de Aviación (Mexicana), has taken delivery of its first E195-E2 from Embraer as part of a modernisation programme that includes 10 E190-E2s and 10 E195-E2s.
The deal was announced in 2024, with the jets to be configured in a single class layout with no middle seats. The airline’s E2 fleet will be supported by Embraer’s Services & Support organisation.
“This delivery marks a new chapter for Mexicana,” said Leobardo Bojórquez, CEO of Mexicana. “The E2’s performance, economics, and passenger appeal make it the perfect aircraft to support our growth strategy. We are excited to bring this new level of service and efficiency to our customers.”
