The plan to create lounges stems from the airline’s JetForward growth strategy, allowing passengers to enjoy more premium perks. Another development in the JetForward plan is to provide premium credit cards.
“Customers have asked for a JetBlue lounge for years, and we can’t wait to unveil our take in New York and Boston,” said Marty St. George, President of JetBlue. “Lounges have become an essential offering for the growing numbers of customers seeking premium experiences, and JetBlue’s lounges will further boost the value of our TrueBlue loyalty programme as we expand our portfolio of JetBlue credit cards.”
Access to the lounges will be reserved for frequent customers and premium credit card members. Holders of a new premium JetBlue credit card, TrueBlue Mosaic members, and Transatlantic Mint customers will receive complimentary access. TrueBlue Mosaic 4 members and the new credit card holders will also receive complimentary lounge access for one guest, and all customers will have the option to purchase an annual lounge pass.
The JFK Airport lounge will span 8,000 square feet, while the Boston Logan Airport lounge will be 11,000 feet. Features of these lounges will include a full-service bar, free Wi-Fi, a barista coffee bar, food, and comfortable seating areas.
“Customers love the JetBlue experience, so we’re bringing those thoughtful touches you find onboard our flights into the lounge experience,” said St. George.
In addition to the lounge access, Mosaic members will be receiving increased benefits, including an upgrade to the Move to Mint Signature Perk.
