JetBlue’s crewmembers have accumulated over 1.5 million volunteer hours since the launch of its JetBlue For Good initiative in 2011. In celebration of the milestone, the airline has donated a total of 3 million TrueBlue points to 20 charities.

“Since JetBlue’s inception, service has been an intrinsic part of our mission to bring humanity back to air travel,” said Icema Gibbs, Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at JetBlue. “Beyond our operation, our service extends on the ground through the volunteer efforts of our incredible crewmembers. Reaching 1.5 million hours of caring is a direct reflection of their dedication to giving back.”

The JetBlue For Good initiative supports the causes that matter to the airline’s crew and customers, providing efforts such as fundraising, community events, environmental cleanups, and disaster relief.

Throughout 2024, crewmembers logged over 49,000 volunteer hours across 800 organisations, and as a part of the ‘Flights for Fifty’ programme, crew can donate two round-trip travel vouchers to any charity for every 50 hours of service.

JetBlue has also had a focused initiative in Puerto Rico via the Soar with Reading programme, partnering with Little Free Libraries to install seven free book-sharing boxes. The airline also supported the SOMOS Puerto Rico Conference, where participants packed over 700 backpacks with school supplies for students in need.

Finally, JetBlue partnered with Foster Love to give foster children over 700 duffel bags, known as ‘Sweet Cases’, and care items. This is a longstanding partnership, and over the past decade, JetBlue has supported over 10,000 young people.
