Japan Airlines and Embraer renew Pool Program Agreement for E-Jets

Japan Airlines (JAL) has extended its agreement with Embraer for Embraer’s Pool Program that provides comprehensive maintenance, repair and spare-parts support for the airline’s 32 E170 and E190 aircraft.

Embraer has announced that the agreement will provide support for a wide range of repairable components for Japan Airlines’ E-Jets fleet and includes a significant inventory of components available close to the customer’s operations, ensuring rapid access to critical parts and minimizing operational disruptions.

Yuta Kawaguchi, Executive Officer, Vice President, JAL Engineering Co. Ltd, Material & Component Services commented: “Through this contract renewal with Embraer, we reinforce our commitment to securing high-quality components and, above all, ensuring the absolute safety of our flight operations. Building on our trusted relationship with Embraer, we look forward to driving further operational excellence and delivering a highly reliable travel experience for our passengers.”

Japan Airlines’ regional subsidiary J-Air’s fleet has included Embraer E-Jets since 2008 and the extension of the Pool Program agreement underscores the shared commitment of both companies to maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence while supporting the continued growth of regional connectivity in the country.

“We are proud to further strengthen our long-standing relationship with Japan Airlines through this agreement,” said Carlos Naufel, President and CEO, Embraer Services & Support. “Through our Pool Program, we are committed to providing the reliability, responsiveness and operational support needed to maximise the E-Jets’ performance.”
