HK Express launches new “Cabin Connect” service on board flights

Hong Kong low-fare airline HK Express is progressively rolling out its new “Cabin Connect” in-flight service system across its fleet.

Passengers can now connect their mobile devices to the designated onboard network and order food and drinks, secure their preferred retail items, track flight progress in real time and upgrade their seats.

The airline says that, once an order is placed, cabin crew will confirm the details, process the payment and deliver the selection directly to the passenger’s seat.

The carrier is also now offering a new in-flight menu to passengers and this summer, travellers can enjoy dishes such as “Satay King” White Curry Lemongrass Pork Chop Rice, a classic Carbonara Pasta and Pandan Basque Cheesecake.

The airline’s onboard retail offering includes an all-new, limited-edition plush keychain blind box series. Passengers can buy their favourite charms, adding a delightful element of unboxing excitement to their journey.

The instant seat upgrade feature, as long as seats are available, entails passengers using their mobile devices to instantly request an upgrade to a front-row seat for extra legroom.
