Fokker Services Group is now building a widebody hangar in cooperation with Gaptek.

The work will take around 12-14 weeks to complete, and is designed based on Gaptek’s patented lightweight system. Its aluminium construction also reduces Co2 emissions by up to 21% (compared to a traditional steel structure).

The new building will accommodate aircraft from the Airbus A330, A350, and the Boeing 777. The hangar is part of a larger expansion plan, which will include a second wide-body hangar and extending workshop facilities.

““With this investment we are making a long-term commitment to our colleagues, customers, suppliers and the local community. As the markets for wide-body maintenance and VIP completions continue to grow, this modern hangar extension allows us to support new and existing customers for the years to come,” commented Roland van Dijk, Co-CEO of Fokker Services Group.

““Since the beginning, one of the most important values for Gaptek is to provide more sustainable and cost efficient solutions,” Tomas Felius founding member and President of Gaptek explained. “This project is an important milestone in the international markets expansion’s for Gaptek.”
