Ultramain Systems, a provider of electronic technical logbook software, has announced a new partnership with Dubai-based low fare carrier, flydubai.
The airline is adopting the company’s electronic technical logbook product, ULTRAMAIN ELB, with a view to improving operational efficiency and data accuracy.
ULTRAMAIN ELB is approved for paperless operations by regulatory authorities worldwide and is already in use by other low fare airlines including HK Express, Norse Atlantic and easyJet.
The transition to digital logbooks will allow flydubai to improve data accessibility for pilots and engineers, while eliminating the need for manual scanning of paper log pages. Real-time access to information will also improve collaboration across the organisation.
“We are committed to adopting digital best practices to enhance our operational efficiency,” said Christian Hall, Vice President of Engineering at flydubai. “The implementation of this digital solution will allow for real-time data tracking, advanced analytics, optimized performance as well as added compliance benefits without the need for bulky paper logbooks.”
flydubai operates a fleet of 88 Boeing 737 aircraft, serving more than 125 destinations in 55 countries across Africa, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Central and South-East Europe, the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Middle East, South Asia and South-East Asia. The airline employs more than 6,000 people, including over 1,200 pilots and around 600 engineers.
Tim Spears, Vice President of Onboard Systems at Ultramain Systems said the new partnership “expands our growth and presence” in the region “and further underscores our ability to meet the diverse business needs in the aviation industry.”
