The Lufthansa Group has announced the continued suspension of flights to Tel Aviv, Israel, by its low-fare carrier, Eurowings, until 30 November, amid ongoing safety concerns over the current Middle East conflict.

Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, and Brussels Airlines, also part of the Lufthansa Group, have extended their flight suspensions to Tel Aviv until 25 November 2024.

“The safety and security of our passengers and crew remain our top priority,” stated a Lufthansa Group spokesperson. “The ongoing conflict in the region necessitates this continued suspension to ensure we are not putting anyone at unnecessary risk.”

Passengers with existing bookings on affected flights are being offered flexible rebooking options. They can reschedule their travel to a later date free of charge or opt for a full refund of their ticket price.

Other low-fare airlines which have suspended Tel Aviv operations include:

  • Wizz Air has suspended flights until at least January 2025.
  • Transavia has suspended flights to Tel Aviv, Amman (Jordan), and Beirut (Lebanon) until at least the end of March 2025.
  • Vueling has cancelled flights to Tel Aviv until 12 January 2025 and Amman until further notice.
  • Iberia Express has cancelled flights to Tel Aviv, currently until 31 October 2024.
