easyJet and easyJet holidays is anticipating its busiest summer ever this year, following on from several new routes, aircraft, and expansions. From the start of the school holidays, the easyJet network will see 82,000 flights and transport over seven million UK customers.

The busiest day for the airline will be 5 September, when 2,000 flights will take off with over 300,000 passengers, with the most popular destinations including Spanish Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, and Faro. Meanwhile, Edinburgh and Belfast are the most popular regional summer routes.

The uptake in numbers is due to easyJet’s seven additional A320 aircraft spread across the UK bases, including several new bases, 44 new routes, and three new destinations available for the summer.

“Every year, millions of customers continue to choose easyJet for the unrivalled choice of destinations we offer across our network, our great value fares and our crew’s fantastic service,” said Sophie Dekkers, easyJet’s Chief Commercial Officer. “And this year with more seats, new routes and package holidays, we’re offering more choice for customers than ever before, and we look forward to taking them away for a well-deserved holiday, always aiming to make travel easy.”
