easyJet has formed a partnership with Make-A-Wish International to provide travel for children who are fighting critical illnesses in Europe. The collaboration will enable the charity to provide flights to children and their families for free.

Make-A-Wish provided examples of the initiative’s impact with the stories of Anna and Mille from Denmark. Anna was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma at the age of 17, and Mille was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also at 17. With the help of Make-A-Wish, both teenagers were able to enjoy a special experience to uplift them and their families during their difficult journeys with critical illness. Anna and her mother took a trip to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower, visit the Louvre, and enjoy French food. Mille was able to travel to London with her family to see Mamma Mia and The Lion King in the West End, with trips to Madame Tussauds and the London Eye.

“We are incredibly proud to be supporting Make-A-Wish to grant the wishes of children across Europe,” said Johan Lundgren, easyJet CEO. “It’s a great privilege for us to be able to offer our network of over 1000 routes to fly children and families to a choice of hundreds of destinations, which we hope will go some small way in helping make wishes come true.”

“We can’t thank easyJet enough for their incredible support of the children and families we care for,” commented Luciano Manzo, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish International. “When faced with a critical illness, many children dream of exploring new places, embarking on thrilling adventures, and creating cherished memories with their loved ones. Thanks to easyJet, we’ll be able to make even more of these wishes come true all across Europe this year! Their generosity is helping us turn dreams into unforgettable experiences.”
